Beat Making Software – Sonic Producer?

I want to make hip hop beats but do not know where to start. Anyone know any basic software.

To give you a short answer: Garageband for mac Sony Acid Music Studio for PC. Pretty simple programs for beginners like yourself, make sure you read these articles. They’re really helpful tutorials!
EDIT: With both these programs you can make beats AND record!
